Located in the heart of Edmonton's downtown, Madison's Grill offers a sophisticated and decadent dinner or lunch or breakfast option. Residing inside the historic Union Bank Inn, this quaint eatery is a favorite among university students and downtown professionals alike.

Due to a reasonable and delicious lunch menu created by head chef Robert Simpson, reservations are a must for guests arriving during the lunch hour. Simpson believes in using fresh and seasonal ingredients and is a proponent of local game and meats. Local duck and bison are highlights of the menu as are fresh seafood options from the Pacific Coast.
My personal favorites include the beet salad with goat cheese, the duck breast and the succulent gnocchi that accompanies some of the entrées. The apple cider crème brulee is an excellent way to conclude the meal this holiday season.
For those guests wanting to indulge in a private group function, the Vintage Room is available throughout the day. The room faces Jasper Avenue and can hold up to 14 for celebrations, meetings and other corporate and private events.
Despite premium dinner prices, Madison's high quality of food and luxurious ambience make this a local and personal favorite. I give it 4.5 stars.
